DAY 1  ARRIVE SAN JOSE

Welcome to San Jose! Your journey begins with a warm greeting at the airport from a local representative and a transfer to your hotel.

DAY 2 SAN JOSE –  PACUARE RIVER

Today an incredible rafting journey is waiting for you. The Pacuare river passes through scenic canyons where crystal clear waterfalls plummet down into the rapidly coursing river below. Tall trees and dense green vegetation come right down to the water’s edge. Once arrived at the Pacuare Lodge, you will find a unique jungle oasis nestled in a most remarkable setting. After a hearty lunch, you will have the rest of the afternoon at leisure to relax or enjoy the optional activities.

DAY 3 PACUARE RIVER

Day at leisure to enjoy the scenic beauty of the natural surrounds of the Pacuare River and the optional activities offered at the lodge. Thanks to its proximity to the Caribbean lowlands and the high annual rainfall, this area offers very complex life systems and exotics, formed by the extraordinary abundance of the rainforests and its exuberant vegetation which provides protection for jaguars, ocelots, monkeys, sloths and numerous species of birds and plants.

DAY 4 PACUARE RIVER –  ARENAL VOLCANO

In the morning you’ll embark on your next adventure, the white water rafting. The next 3-4 hours are action packed, speeding along the river through class III-IV rapids, stopping along the way for a picnic lunch. After the river adventure you will be transferred to the impressive Arenal Volcano.

DAY 5 ARENAL VOLCANO

After breakfast you’ll set off for your morning adventure. Take the sky tram for a 1,250 meters, 20 minute ride to the start of the Sky Trek. This is where the thrills really begin! The trek consists of a series of ziplines that stretch for 1.7 miles high above the treetops, and with breath-taking views of Arenal volcano and lake. Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 6 ARENAL VOLCANO – MANUEL ANTONIO

For today it is programmed a transfer to one of the most popular destinations of the country, Manuel Antonio. Here you will you will discover a beach destination that offers the opportunity of interacting with Mother Nature and also you will be impressed by the magnificent beaches of this beautiful National Park.

DAY 7 MANUEL ANTONIO

Explore the wonders of the unique Costa Rica mangrove ecosystem by kayaking slowly through the natural canals. Keep your eyes wide open to spot the different species of birds, reptiles and white faced monkeys.

DAY 9 MANUEL ANTONIO –  PENSINULA DE OSA, PUERTO JIMENEZ

After breakfast your journey continues to Puerto Jimenez. Hidden in the rainforest above a secluded and wild beach, El Remanso Lodge is situated on the Osa Peninsula.  With its 185 acres of private reserve it is part of the Osa Peninsula National Refuge. The property includes an extensive trail system, which lets you discover the magic of a primary rainforest and observe the abundant wildlife surrounding the lodge. Explore secluded waterfalls or take a stroll on a deserted beach with tide pools and a lagoon.

DAY 10 & 11 PUERTO JIMENEZ

El Remanso is an ideal place for active people who are interested in a unique experience within nature while respecting and protecting the environment. A big variety of activities can be enjoyed at the El Remanso Rainforest Wildlife Lodge with highly knowledgeable guides: thrilling waterfall rappelling, early-morning birdwatching, guided interpretative hikes, a canopy tree platform tour or just simply relax on the wooden deck of your cabin while watching monkeys swing through the surrounding trees!

DAY 12 PUERTO JIMENEZ –  SAN JOSE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

After the breakfast you will travel to Puerto Jimenez Airstrip where your local flight will depart, returning to San Jose. Once in the capital, we will provide a ground transfer that will take you to Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) where you will board your flight back home.
(Depending on your flight time an additional night in San Jose must be added)
